Effective date: August 11, 2026 · Last updated: August 11, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or the "User") and the operator of the Mission application ("Mission," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Mission mobile application, any related widgets, extensions, backend services, websites, and any other software or service we provide (collectively, the "App" or the "Service").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App — including by tapping "Agree," creating or using a profile, or completing onboarding — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, access, or use the App, and delete it from your device.
These Terms include an arbitration agreement and class-action waiver (Section 19) and important limitations of our liability (Sections 15–17). Please read them carefully.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
By using the App you represent and warrant that: (a) you meet the age requirement above; (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; (c) you are not barred from using the App under the laws of your jurisdiction; and (d) all information you provide is accurate and current.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Mission is a sleep and alarm application designed to help you wake up and build morning habits. The App's features include, without limitation:
Features may vary by device, operating-system version, region, and subscription status, and may be added, changed, or removed at any time (see Section 21).
The App is provided for general lifestyle, wellness, and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent any disease or health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or sleep-disorder advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You use the App and perform any tasks it requests entirely at your own risk.
The App may operate using an anonymous, app-generated device identifier and may also allow you to associate a name, email address, or third-party sign-in (such as Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for:
We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your device or profile. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate profiles or access at our discretion (see Section 18).
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use one copy of the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and in accordance with the Apple Media Services / App Store Terms and any usage rules that apply.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us and our licensors.
You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone else to:
We may investigate and take any action we deem appropriate for violations, including removing content, suspending or terminating access, and reporting to law enforcement.
"User Content" means anything you create, upload, post, transmit, or share through the App, including group messages, shared cards, "wake-up proof" summaries, photos captured for tasks that you choose to share, custom tones you import, group names and descriptions, and feedback.
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you.
The App requests certain device permissions to function. You control these permissions in your device settings and may decline or revoke them at any time, but doing so may disable related features. Permissions the App may request include:
How we use the data obtained through these permissions is described in the Privacy Policy.
The App relies on and integrates with third-party services and platforms, including but not limited to Apple (App Store, iOS, StoreKit, Family Controls, HealthKit, AlarmKit), RevenueCat (subscription management), Supabase (data storage), and Vercel (backend hosting). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their acts or omissions. Links or references to third-party content do not constitute endorsement.
Certain features of the App ("Premium" or "Mission Premium") require a paid, auto-renewable subscription purchased through the Apple App Store and managed via StoreKit / RevenueCat.
Mission may offer subscription plans billed on a recurring basis, such as a monthly plan and an annual (yearly) plan, and may offer promotional or discounted plans (for example, a discounted annual offer). The exact plans, prices, billing periods, currency, taxes, and any free-trial or introductory-offer terms are those displayed to you in the App and on the App Store checkout at the time of purchase, and those displayed terms control. Prices may vary by region and may change over time.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for the same plan, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal continues until you cancel.
If a free trial or introductory offer is provided, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial will automatically convert into a paid, auto-renewing subscription and your Apple ID will be charged. Eligibility for offers is determined by Apple and/or us and may be limited to new subscribers.
You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings: on your device, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or Settings → Subscriptions), select Mission, and choose Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to Premium features until then. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. Managing subscriptions from within the App may redirect you to Apple's subscription settings.
All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law or by Apple's policies. Because billing is handled by Apple, refund requests are subject to Apple's App Store refund process and are at Apple's discretion. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" page (reportaproblem.apple.com) or your App Store account settings. We generally cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can use "Restore Purchases" to restore an active subscription tied to your Apple ID.
We may change subscription prices. Where required, Apple will notify you and, where legally required, obtain your consent before a price increase takes effect for your renewal. If you do not agree to a new price, you may cancel before the change applies.
If a charge cannot be collected, your access to Premium features may be suspended or terminated.
The App and all of its contents — including software, code, designs, text, graphics, logos, icons, artwork, illustrations, user-interface elements, soundscapes, and the "Mission" name and marks — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 6 and your ownership of your own User Content (Section 8), these Terms grant you no right, title, or interest in the App or our intellectual property. You may not use our names, logos, or trademarks without our prior written permission.
We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. The App may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, network or device conditions, or events beyond our control. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data important to you. We are not responsible for any loss or corruption of data, alarms, settings, or User Content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and all content and services are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. We and our licensors expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that: (a) the App will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; (b) alarms will sound, be audible, or be delivered on time or at all; (c) any tracking, counts, or metrics will be accurate; (d) defects will be corrected; or (e) the App is free of harmful components. No advice or information obtained from us or through the App creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Mission, its owners, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App — including, without limitation, any damages resulting from a missed, delayed, silent, or failed alarm; oversleeping; missed events, work, travel, or appointments; personal injury or property damage arising from performing any task; reliance on any metric or recommendation; or the conduct or content of any other user — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts you actually paid to us (or to Apple for the App) in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) twenty U.S. dollars (US$20).
These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you; in such cases our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (such as, in some jurisdictions, liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct).
You understand and voluntarily accept that using the App — including relying on its alarms and performing physical tasks such as exercises, walking, or moving to photograph a subject — carries inherent risks, including the risk of oversleeping, injury, or property damage. You knowingly and freely assume all such risks and agree that you are solely responsible for evaluating whether any task or reliance on the App is safe and appropriate for you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mission and its owners, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (d) your violation of any third-party right.
Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved.
Except where prohibited by the mandatory law of your country of residence, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the App are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and, where applicable, by the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act.
Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at support@trytest.app and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any dispute not resolved informally will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property or unauthorized-access claims.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you and we each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding.
If you reside in a jurisdiction (such as the EU/EEA or UK) whose mandatory consumer-protection laws grant you rights that cannot be waived, nothing in this Section 19 deprives you of the protection of those mandatory provisions, and you may be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts under your local law.
These Terms are between you and Mission only, not with Apple. You acknowledge that:
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by in-app notice or by updating the "Last updated" date and posting the revised Terms). Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App.
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any lawful reason. You may terminate at any time by ceasing use and deleting the App. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as required by law or Apple's policies, and does not cancel an active App Store subscription (see Section 12.5). Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, 13, 15–20, and 23) survive.
By using Mission, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
